X ray machines are used to scan our body to find any anomalies or issues using X rays, a form of electromagnetic radiation. X rays used in medicine are used to generate images of tissues and organs and bones inside our body. The images that are obtained using the x rays are called radiographs. Generally, X rays are used to diagnose or treat a disease. X-ray radiography is used to detect bone fractures, tumors, abnormal masses, pneumonia, calcifications and many other anomalies.
The X-ray machines we provide are all tested for their quality and performance. The machines we lease are all new and are maintained and cleaned regularly. The lease period we offer are flexible and eliminate the need for upfront cost. We offer easy to access high end equipment at the best rental price without worrying about its maintenance.
How does an X-ray work?
An X ray is produced when a negatively charged electrode releases electrons which causes energy to be produced. This energy is directed toward a metal plate or anode or X ray detector sheet at high velocity, where the x-rays are produced when the energy collides with the detector.
When we take medical x-rays an x-ray detector sheet is placed under the area of concern and the x-rays are passed. The x rays enter our body and pass through our skin, muscles and organs, each tissue absorbs x rays at different levels with the bones absorbing them the most. Hence the bones appear as white in light gradient or white on the film, while the other tissues and muscles appear at black to gray depending on the amount of X ray absorbed.
Benefits of X rays
- X ray discovery led to the invention of CT, MRI, mammography, etc.
- They are used for both diagnosis and treatment
- They are noninvasive in nature
- Painless process
- Aid as a supportive imaging during operations
- Used for radiation treatment in cancer treatment
